A vision for A City

When Lonnie and Carolyn came to Council Bluffs more than 30 years ago, they did not have a vision to grow a church. They had a vision to see what God would do in a city through a committed group of believers.

Outreach to CB

VFC has distributed thousands of pounds of food through our Food Pantry and clothed many with free clothes during our monthly free clothing give-a-way. If you are in need or you know someone who could benefit from these opportunities, please call and make an appointment.

Weekly City Prayer

Lonnie began a Pastors and Leaders weekly prayer group over 20 years ago. In these prayer times all of the leaders leave their agendas at the door - no promotion, just a short focus to start and then prayer! In all the times we have for prayer, we have had one focus and that is “Lord send Revival to our city”! God has answered so many of the requests for His presence to come.

Christian Education

Shortly after arriving in Council Bluffs, Lonnie and Carolyn realized a need for Christian Education in the city. With a lot of vision VFC started Victory Christian School. VCS grew beyond expectations, and several years ago it merged with Loess Hills to form Heartland Christian School. Regional Prophetic Round Table

Today VFC continues to call believers together to cooperate with God’s vision for Council Bluffs. We host an annual Prophetic Round Table for the region. In these times gifted prophetic leaders speak about fresh insight they have received from the Lord. Many times these insights fuel strategy for prayer and action.
